Photography
Towering Toward the Blue photography guidelines
Photography should be authentic, colorful, and KU-specific in context. Focus on images of experiential learning, research, and applied scholarship when possible. Additionally, look for opportunities to incorporate photographs of the open Kansas skyline with the horizon in view.
If possible, layouts should use multiple complementary images rather than a large single image to supply context. When thinking of a visual balance for the layout, aim for a composition that dedicates 60% of the space to Kansas’ big sky and 40% to the context of KU academics and research.
